SUMMARY:MOSAIC - March Event - Take a Walk in Downtown Greensboro
DESCRIPTION:Hello Mosaic Committee Members\,\nWe are excited to offer an off site\, optional event and outing on March 26th\, called "A Walk Downtown" for our committee members and any guests who would like to attend.\nThis walk will highlight our current downtown scene of restaurants\, businesses\, offices\, entertainment venues\, and diverse cultures of Greensboro. We will start at The Marshall Muse Gallery\, which opened last year. The owner\, Tracey Marshall\, is going to guide us through the gallery and explain the diversity of the arts\, and her current roster of artists of all genres\, races\, and art styles. We will meet there at 2:30-2:45\, and wrap up at 3pm.\nThen our mayor Marikay Abuzuaiter\, will take over and we will walk the downtown passing by The Tanger Center\, and many of our diverse restaurants\, desserteries\, small businesses\, salons\, and offices/attorneys. She will offer her take on how important diversity remains for our futures\, and answer any questions from the group. We will wind up in front of the International Civil Rights Museum\, which is such a big part of GSO history and culture. Due to the time needed for a tour\, and the cost per person\, we will not tour the Museum on this trip\, but please check out the ICRCM webpage for hours and admission prices. They are open until 6pm on most days\, and offer in person and virtual tours with reservations. The time for the tours runs from 50-106 minutes\, with admission ranging from $10-$20 per person.\nYou are welcome to purchase food and items in any of the places we visit\, but remember you are on your own for any expenses like that\, and we will be on a schedule\, so please keep that in mind. We hope to wrap up the tour at 4:00pm as the Mayor does have a very busy schedule. She does enjoy our committee and it's members\, and is very excited to be accompanying us.\nPlease register on the site when it's posted\, and we look forward to seeing everyone. Remind everyone to dress comfortably and wear sensible shoes. We will park in the church lot beside the Gallery\, and advise carpooling. The Gallery will be offering classes to other patrons while we are there\, so we don't want to disturb anyone who is in a class.\nHave a great rest of your week!Jim\, Jenn\, Barbara and Page The Greensboro Regional REALTORS Association is a not-for-profit trade association devoted to improving the business conditions of the real estate industry.
