Any Participant, having reason to believe that the fine imposed on that Participant by the MLS is without merit, may file an "MLS Compliance Hearing Request" form. The request for a hearing must:
1) Include copies of any relevant documents;
2) Include payment of assessed fine
3) Include an Appearance Deposit in the amount of $100 if fine is less than $500. If an appearance deposit is required, staff will add this to your account after receipt of this form. Payment of deposit is required to finalize the appeals application.
4) Be sent to the MLS Compliance Director within ten (10) days (excluding weekends and holidays) after the Fine Notification has been sent.
If any additional documents provided are proof that there is not a violation, the assessed fine will be voided, the appearance deposit will be refunded, and the Participant and MLS Hearing Committee will be notified.
